Harmonic astrology
John Addey, Harmonics in Astrology (1976)
John Addey argued that the meaning in a chart lies in its harmonics — the whole-number divisions of the circle — reviving a Keplerian, wave-based way of reading. He tested it against the Astrological Association's own datasets (thousands of physicians, artists and clergy), and explicitly connected the harmonics to the divisional charts (vargas) of Indian astrology.
What it measures
The nth harmonic chart multiplies every longitude by n and reduces modulo 360°, so bodies that form an aspect based on n (the 5th harmonic gathers quintiles, the 9th the Indian navamsa angles) fall into conjunction and become visible.
