Paraguay (Independence) — birth chart across three traditions

Born: 1811-05-14 (time unknown) · Asunción, Paraguay

Data source: Rodden X (no recorded time). The encyclopedic account says only that the insurrection broke out 'in the evening' of 14 May and that matters concluded 'already early morning' on 15 May; no clock hour is given.

Officers of the Asunción garrison rose against the Spanish governor Bernardo de Velasco and forced him to hand over power, almost without bloodshed, in a rising that ran through the night. Fourteen May is Paraguay's Día de la Independencia Nacional, and 15 May is also a public holiday precisely because the decisive events straddled midnight. This date was chosen over 12 October 1813, when the congress formally adopted the name Republic of Paraguay, because 14 May is the day the state commemorates. Houses are undetermined in this chart.

Reading the chart

Taurus Sun — exact Moon sign unavailable because the birth time is unknown.

Mercury carries unusual weight here — strong essential dignity (domicile); in its own domicile.

Stellium in Sagittarius: Mars, Saturn, Neptune — a concentrated emphasis that colors the whole chart.

Fire is the leading element (44% weighted), while water is least emphasized — a texture worth noticing, not a verdict.

Mutable modality leads: the chart's default rhythm is adapting — adjusting and redistributing energy.

Sun at 22°54′ Taurus: core identity, vitality and sense of purpose operates steadily, sensually, with a taste for the durable — the keynote is consolidation.

Moon: exact longitude and sign unavailable because the birth time is unknown. Daily interval 304.5749° → 318.7041° (Aquarius).

Stellium in Sagittarius: Mars, Saturn, Neptune — a concentrated emphasis that colors the whole chart.

Sun trine North Node (orb 1°34′, applying): Sun and North Node flow — support arrives so easily it can be taken for granted.

Jupiter opposition Neptune (orb 1°31′, applying): Jupiter and Neptune face each other across an axis — awareness tends to arrive through other people and counterweights.

Saturn square North Node (orb 1°03′, applying): Saturn and North Node grind productively — friction between these functions builds real capacity when worked.
